AT&T® Remote Office Access Manager (ROAM)
ROAM is designed for businesses with 50 or more telecommuter, mobile users, and/or small remote offices. With ROAM, users can dial in to their company's data network from any location, using ordinary telephone lines or ISDN lines.

ROAM is the easiest, most flexible, and least risky alternative for remote network access.

You get...

Easiest expansion—as the number of users grows, you can simply call AT&T to request additional ports.

Migration path—as traffic volume increases, you can easily move to higher-bandwidth services.

Entirely outsourced network management—AT&T takes on total responsibility from design to ongoing maintenance, leaving your customer's data experts free to do the really important tasks.

Support for the widest range of services and protocols—ROAM supports a very wide range of industry standards, so it works with your existing equipment and networks.

It's good for...

Home office users, including telecommuters.
Small remote offices with employees who access the corporate network.
Mobile users who call in from various locations, using POTS lines, ISDN, and/or mobile phones.

How it Works

ROAM consolidates incoming calls onto a single broadband access line such as a Frame Relay or CBDS. This minimizes the amount of hardware and the number of lines required at the data center. The customer saves money and gets a more reliable network.
